Kristin Gaines, President & Consultant
Kristin founded Innovative Business Strategies, Inc. (IBUS, Inc.) in 2003. She brings over 25 years of combined education and experience in accounting, management, and senior level positions that range across numerous industries, including not-for-profits, service, religious, insurance, and manufacturing. She sets the highest standards for engagement and brings value to her clients to help them achieve success. Her work with clients here at IBUS, Inc. has enabled her to realize her true passion to help growth-oriented businesses reach their goals. She enjoys helping such organizations understand and reach their full potential through strategic planning and through the implementation of improved accounting systems and processes. She is also passionate about helping each organization understand their financial results to better leverage and understand the company’s strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
Kristin obtained a BBA from Howard University, in Accounting, in 2001. She is a Certified QuickBooks Advanced ProAdvisor. She currently resides in Wake Forest, NC and holds a NC Real Estate License. When Kristin is not working with clients, she is a very dedicated wife and Mom and loves spending time with her family, in church, reading, and learning new things.
Sanailer Whidbee, EA
Innovative Business Strategies, Inc. has partnered with Sanailer Whidbee, EA of Whidbee Accounting, LLC to provide expanded tax and accounting services.
Sanailer founded Whidbee Accounting in 2016 after devoting over 10 years to both public and private accounting services. Ensuing her degree in Mathematics and Accounting in 2008 from NC State University, Sanailer worked in public accounting, preparing tax returns for both individuals and organizations. She later transitioned to private accounting, providing payroll, tax preparation, and financial strategies for individuals, corporations, estates, and non-profit organizations. Sanailer is passionate towards helping medium to large businesses and non-profits grow and meet their financial goals. Through her firm, she provides tailored financial services to medium to large businesses, non-profits, and entrepreneurs. When not handling businesses’ accounting needs, Sanailer is enjoying quality family time and beach vacations with her husband and two children.
